Education!!!! What the hell does this word mean? It means accumulation of knowledge. But wait a minute, does education mean knowkedge accumulation in the real sense? I dont agree, in fact it is a mere gamble of MARKS. It is not the human abilities that count but actually it is the marks that represent the ability, social status, possition of a person in the Indian society, assuming the other countries are different.
Now, just to throw some light on the education system in India, do you really think the system is good? Are you satisfied? If you are, then I guess you are good at the art of memorising stuff and have the most important ability i.e writing it down in a mechanical form, regardless of the fact whether it makes any sense or no. To cut it short and minimise your curiosity the education system by default focuses only on the memory power of students. If a student who makes sense of the whole context in the prescribed textbooks and presents it in a different form, it is against the so called defined standards for correction and unbiased allocation of marks. It has become a trend to shower marks to one person and scar the future of hundreds.
Have you ever given it a thought.....Why do students go across the Indian Border to possess master degrees? Why not INDIA? The expenditure incurred for foreign education is not a child's play. But inspite of this students feel it worth to go abroad for the simple reason that students there have freedom of speech and expression. Lecturers are so knowledgeable and qualified no where in comparison to teachers in India. if any students dare to oppose the views of the teachers the result is low marks and biased assessment of papers, unlike in the case of foreign countries. The students are not compelled to listen to the monotonous lectures like in India where the majority of the students attend lectures due to the pressure of required attendance.
Moreover, the lookout or the view towards education is completely wrong and deceptive. Students today have deviated from the idea of studying for knowledge, their perception needs to be changed towards education.
Coming to the subjects. India being a multi-linguistic country every state has a portion or area of subjects in relation to their own language. No offence! But this does not mean that essential subjects important to future requirements are eliminated. There needs to be diversity and competiveness in this copmplex world. It so happens that hwen people migrate from one place to another assuming for seeking education, find themselves completely alienated with the subjects due to absense of the same in the past!!! There is no sense of uniformity in what 2 students from different states learn and study.I agree with the fact that teaching patterns may differ but the subject portions should be appropraitely standardised systematically as per the age group of all students. In such a crisis situation education does become a dreadful journey for everybody.
It is easier said than done, I agree with this. But i guess it is high time that we raise our voice against this god for saken system of education and fight for the betterment of atleast our future generations. I do not expect but I believe that if we put our hands together may be Foreign students will come down all the way to India to do theis masters!!!!!
